Catedral de Sevilla

Seville’s cathedral (la catedral de Sevilla) is arguably its crowning jewel. Not only does it hold UNESCO World Heritage Site status like the Alcázar, but is also holds the title of being the largest Gothic-style church. If that isn’t impressive enough, the cathedral in Seville is the third largest church in the world. Naturally a booming tourist attraction, the cathedral draws people in their numbers. Before entering the cathedral, it’s well worth considering the entire structure from a distance, or even a nearby rooftop bar, to fully appreciate its size and scale. A good place to do this from is ‘Las Setas’, a relatively recent, modern addition to the pretty skyline of Seville. It’s highly recommended that you do take the chance to enter the cathedral as well though. The cathedral is arguably as beautiful on the inside as it is on the outside, so make sure you take the opportunity to explore the imposing Gothic interior.
