If you tire of sightseeing and shopping, there’s no better place to rest up than the beautiful green space of Princes Street Gardens. Located adjacent to the famous shopping district of Edinburgh, Princes Street Gardens covers over 30 acres. The Gardens are divided into the east and west sides by The Mound which connects Edinburgh’s Old Town and New Town. Not just a nice place to retreat from the hustle and bustle of city life, this scenic hotspot is a tourist attraction in its own right. Featuring an array of monuments, Statues and a spectacular fountain, there’s plenty to see as you stroll through the gardens. Princes Street Gardens features the world’s oldest (working) floral clock amongst other rare sights. For those visiting nearer the festive season, Princes Street Gardens is transformed every year into Edinburgh’s, “Winter Wonderland” and features rides, stalls and festive food! Despite when you might visit, there’s always something to see or do in Princes Street Gardens.
