The Oceanarium in Lisbon is far more than your average aquarium. With ocean and sea life preservation at the core of everything they do, the Oceanarium is a hub of exciting maritime exhibitions and conservation efforts. Voted the world’s best aquarium by users of TripAdvisor in both 2015 and 2017, the Oceanarium is an underwater experience unlike any other. With a plethora of sea-based mammals and fish, the Oceanarium has more than a day’s worth of entertainment, whether you’re traveling alone, with friends, or with your family. From penguins and sea otters, octopuses and sharks, you won’t be disappointed if you decide to visit. The Oceanarium is also home to a variety of native flora and fauna, such as the Antarctic coastal line and the Tropical Indian coral reefs. So you can see a range of oceanic habitats as well as the fish and mammals that inhabit them. Of particular note is the fantastic exhibitions laid on by the Oceanarium. They are so good in fact, that you will be rewarded should you decide to visit multiple times during your trip.
