Tower Bridge

Tower Bridge is by far, one of London’s most iconic tourist attractions. Part bascule (a bridge that lifts to allow big or tall boats to pass through) and part suspension bridge, Tower Bridge is a feat of modern engineering. While the bridge is an internationally recognisable part of London’s skyline, it is surprisingly new compared to other major tourist attractions. Built during the late 1800’s, during the reign of Queen Victoria, Tower Bridge captures the striking industrial heart of Victorian London. A highlight for the brave visitors to Tower Bridge is the giddying high-level walkways offering incredible panoramic views of the city as well as a comprehensive and exciting exhibition covering the history of the bridge. Located centrally and close to several major tube stations, Tower Bridge is a perfect stop on any tour of the city of London. For a small fee, visitors can even access the towers, walkways and Victorian engine rooms of this spectacle.
